We love Lagoon

We hit up Lagoon today in the heat with everyone else today! We had plans to go swimming, but momma got WAY too sunburnt yesterday so we decided not to. The kids loved the Ferris wheel, and Amelia was so excited that the shows started today! Lincoln is warming up to the rides, and getting more familiar with everything.

My Sensitive Girl

While we were making breakfast this morning, Amelia started crying. I couldn't figure out what could be wrong, and found out she was upset because it was such a sad part of the movie we were watching! We had Madagascar on, and when Alex 'loses his family,' she was so sad! I helped remind her that everything turns out ok in the end. She is so sweet!

He is such a great helper and always insists on doing things for me himself! He loves cleaning, putting things away, taking out the garbage, and bringing in the groceries (which were very heavy!).

Pool Time!!

The sunshine today called for our first day at the pool and McDonalds ice cream for me and Milly, Lincoln passed out as soon as we got in the car! Looking forward to lots more of these days over the next few weeks with these two!

Dress Up

Dress up has become an every day occurrence at our house these days. Today Lincoln got his shoes on all by himself and then was so proud! Amelia changes her dance dress and accessories a few times, but her fancy shoes are usually a constant, also she has been wearing her Anna dress almost every day. When we turned on the music later in the afternoon, Lincoln saw that Milly was all dressed up and went and found her glittery shoes to put on so he could be fancy too. He was so excited, and it was hilarious to watch them dance around! I love their fun little personalities, and that he loves to do everything his big sister does!

Morning Snuggles

This morning we laid in bed and felt the baby move. Lincoln was also in on the action and giving my belly kisses!

Reading Together

Lately the kids love to shut themselves in Amelia's room and get out lots of books to read. It makes me happy to open the door and find them sitting on the floor reading together.

Snuggle Buddy

I just love this girl so much. We had a little break today before my evening appts and Lincoln was down for a nap, so we decided to go downstairs and snuggle. She brought me my bear from when I was a girl to snuggle with, and crawled under the blanket on the lovesac with me. I fell asleep and she kept saying the sweetest things to me. Every night lately she asks me to come and snuggle her before she goes to sleep. I lay in bed with her for a couple of minutes and we just chat. She gives me lots of kisses and usually tells me I am her best friend, or that I am the best mommy ever. I am the luckiest mommy ever, that is for sure!

They both 'tasted' some simple sushi today. Neither was a fan, but at least they tried it! Eventually they will learn to love it, I hope!

She was so proud of herself for eating with chop sticks like a big girl at lunch today! It was adorable. I finally was able to convince her that it was ok to finish up with a fork.

Poor Lincoln hurt one of his front teeth when he fell this morning, so he had a bit of a rough day. He didn't want to ride any of the rides today. Once the carousel started, though, he was very excited about it!

All well Amelia has been telling me she wanted to give Grandma Welch a Minnie Mouse balloon for her birthday! So we got her a Mickey and a Minnie one from the kids! Happy 85th birthday Grandma!

Saying Goodbye

Last night was one of the hardest things I have ever gone through. Lole and I have been through so much in life together over the past 8 years. She was so good to me, and such a sweetheart. The kids adored her and she was like a second little mommy to them. Our reality of baby #3 quickly approaching doesn't give us the time and energy to devote to the love and attention she needed. We love her so much and are grateful she will have the opportunity to make another family very happy. We will never forget her and the love she showed us. We will miss you, Lole!

Took the kids to the temple open house today! The weather was a little unpredictable, and was super windy! Luckily all the time we spent waiting outside in line, we stayed dry! The temple was absolutely gorgeous, and we loved being able to share that with the kids!

We had a little picnic lunch yesterday while watching Daddy practice his touch and Gos in his plane! The kids were so excited to etch him and kept cheering him on! Milly was so excited, she yelled, "I can't believe it! I get to fly with daddy tomorrow!" She ant wait for him to get his license so she can go flying with him! Almost there! We are so proud of you, Daddy!

This is the adorable face I woke up to this morning (well after Lincoln went back down after waking up at 5:30). We bought these yesterday for summer, and she got into them and tried them on before coming to show me in bed. "Look, they fit!" She was so excited. Love this silly girl!

Dancing Queen

Amelia went and put on her new dress (over her clothes and tucked into her pants in the back), and dancing shoes so she could dance to her favorite song, Love Shack. Lincoln is upset because she wants to dance alone and won't hold his hands while they are dancing. This is one of those memories I don't want to forget! *she did eventually dance with him, and he was over the moon!
