Forgot to post this one from our doc appt on Thursday. She found the nurse's stash of suckers and was so proud of herself! I just love that face!

Got to see Grandpa at church today at a farewell! She was right on cue to wave and blow kisses to everyone he talked to! He loves to show her off and she was loving every minute of being adored!

Amelia had so much fun playing with some of her friends tonight! There were 5 little girls ranging from 3 years to 5 weeks, and it was so funny to watch them all interact! By the end of the night (hours past all their bedtimes), they were climbing on top of each other and giggling!

Amelia stole baby McCartney's bottle and would not give it up! She never took a bottle so apparently she wanted to try it out! Hopefully our baby doesn't need to take a bottle or we might have a problem on our hands!!

We got ourselves a crowd again when we knew how to get the big silverback gorilla to come pay attention to us! Brent was a little intimidating for him and actually got him to pound his chest and charge the glass a little! It was an ego boost because none of the other men in there had gotten that reaction out of him! ;)

She has discovered how fun it is to watch the tv from on top if the coffee table. The best was when she went to get the blanket to put up there with her to snuggle up to! :)

More Fireworks Fun

Fireworks

It has been a while since Amelia had seen fireworks, an it was so fun to watch her learn about them all over again last night. One went off when they were singing the National Anthem and she starting to cry a little. When I told her there would be more like that, as said "no! No!" The first little bit she clung onto her Daddy for dear life (which was adorable), and then realized they weren't scary would repeated "wow!" Over and over again! She thought they were just so pretty. When a tree caught on fire very close to the high school, most of us were distracted watching the flames get bigger and bigger. They shot off the rest of the fireworks and Amelia was probably one of the few people that really got to enjoy the amazing finale while everyone else rushed to the fence to see the fire. She clapped and clapped when they were over! Can't wait to take her to more fireworks this summer!

Parade Fun

I am convinced that whoever decided to throw out candy at parades must have had a toddler. Watching Amelia at the parade was so much fun! She had our entire section of the parade route laughing so hard because she was being so cute. She didn't want to put her candy in the bag, so she would get as much as she could in her hands, and would stop pieces as she would try to grab others. She would run from piece to piece of candy and quickly discovered how it all worked. She was so excited about the horses and loved the cheerleaders (which made her momma very happy)! Love this girl's personality!!

Big Girl Bed!!

Got some Of Amelia's big girl furniture put together for her room today! Crazy to think of her sleeping in such a big bed! She was so excited and wanted to climb in... But there is no mattress, so she was a little bummed :) soon enough!

I love this picture of Brent in the middle of tossing Amelia up while waiting for the doctor today. She loves going to see our baby at the doctor, and Dr. Housel and his nurse are so cute with her! He is still looking perfect and was measuring today at 6 pounds 8 ounces! It is getting so close!!!

18 month checkup

Eating some pirates booty while we waited in the room FOR AN HOUR for the doctor to come in! She was a champ and did great as long as the nurse or doctor didn't touch her. She is finally remembering what has happened at every other visit, but no shots today thank goodness! This girl has grown like a weed and was in the 75th percentile for everything, including height!! We never thought that would happen! She is so cute and charms everyone she comes in contact with. There was a baby crying in the room next to us, and she kept saying, "he's crying, why he crying?" It was adorable, she was very concerned. She is going to be the best BIG sister!

Brent and I got to celebrate our 3 year anniversary today! We got to share some of that day taking Amelia to Lagoon and her and Brent went on her first roller coaster! More pictures to come :) She loved it! Glad she likes roller coasters like her parents!

Ok I know this is similar to yesterday's post, but this girl knows what she likes! We were laughing so hard and had to keep reminding her to eat the chicken too. She loves to repeat words back, and hearing her say sauce is so adorable! We love our chick-fil-a breakfast dates after doctor appointments!

She lost her footing and fell all the way in the water twice today... Didn't even panic! I wish she had a little more fear of the water, but she is pretty fearless! This makes for a VERY nervous mommy :)

Pool Time!

First time at the pool this summer and Amelia loved every minute of it! She is so independent and wanted to be one of the big kids! She doesn't quite grasp the concept that you have to learn how to swim first! ;) The picture of her in the grass is her running off to explore the splash pad. Every time we were sitting at our towels, she would grab a snack and run back! We are excited for a fun summer in the sun!
